Pirelli concludes 2017 F1 tire test with busy day in Abu Dhabi

this year’s f1 track action came to an end on tuesday after pirelli conducted the 24th and last day of its 2017 prototype tire testing.
for the first time, the three converted 2015 “mule cars” ran on track together for what the italian company called its final validation test before next year’s specification is set.

“for the final test of the year, we had five f1 race drivers sample our 2017 prototypes as we completed the development program with three cars at the same time,” said pirelli f1 boss paul hembery. “now the hard work begins as we collate and analyze the results of our 24 days and approximately 12,000 kilometers of testing in order to define the tires with which we will go racing next year.
